About Me
I am Hannelie Duvenhage. I am from South Africa. I see makeup as more than just my hobby, it truly is a creative outlet for me. I have had a great interest in makeup since I was a teen and loved watching movies the used a lot of special effects. In the last 2 years I decided to start sharing my love for makeup on social media. I hope to grow a community of makeup lovers on a journey to learn and discover new avenues of makeup and makeup artistry. Most of my makeup experience has been done on my own face and I hope to grow and do more makeup on other people.

Certifications & Experience
I hope to gain more experience in the makeup industry and one of my big goals is to gain experience in the film and tv makeup industry. I am learning with each makeup look that I do and I am currently trying to do at least 2 makeup looks per week on myself and promote it on all my social media platforms. In 2021 I also entered into a online makeup course through The Institute of Makeup Artistry. This course has helped my makeup journey a great deal. I am a creative individual and have expressed my creativity in many different ways.
Bachelors Degree in Consumer Science with Business management
January 2017- December 2019

My BSc degree in Consumer Science with business management introduced me to a lot of design elements. This degree focused on four main topic: Fashion history and fashion design, Food and product development, Understanding the consumer and Business management.
This degree has helped me understand professionalism in the work place, the process of design and consumer decision making.
Professional Makeup Artistry Course
May 2021- June 2022
The Institute of makeup artistry, California
This diploma was a great learning experience that taught me many new things about the industry and how to a professional makeup artist. It placed me out of my comfort-zone and helped me discover my creativity as an artist. I also got to learn about different facets of the makeup industry and this course helped me figure out what my career goals are as a makeup artist.
Short Courses
August 2021
Hudson County Community College
I completed two short course: Social Media Branding, YouTube Media and podcasting. The courses educated me in understanding social media analytics, and taught me how to properly use the tools and features of each site to maximize exposure and engagement. These course also taught me how to build a community online.
